See All ReviewsOrdered a cuban sandwich and figured can't get anymore authentic than this right? Welp pretty sure I've had a better cuban from a bar in town. Since when does a cuban get tomatoes and not pickles? Also dry as a bone with no flavor. Barely any mustard either. Very disappointed. Tasted like a white old lady tried to make a cuban sandwich. Gotta do better. No Bueno
I saw their sign as I was sitting in traffic on Dixie, and thought I'd give them a try a few days later. It's a combo grocery / restaurant with a bar as well. You walk down to the steam table and pick from their selection for eating in or takeout. I got a chicken leg quarter, congris and sweet plantains to eat there and a Cuban sandwich for lunch the next day. The staff was friendly (I got the impression they were family.) and the food was good.
I love a little hole In the wall restaurant but this place was a hard miss. We ordered our food in house to go. Cafe con leches were lukewarm, Cuban sandwiches came with big chunks of pork but it was flavorless. The sandwich also had ketchup on it which was weird for a Cuban sandwich. If you are looking for bread or pastries or Goya only products they had alot of those there. Wouldn’t come back for the food at all. The customer service was also lacking. Not super friendly.
